Research interests

Our current research activities are multidisciplinary and lie from organic chemistry and polymer synthesis to nanoparticulate systems and biomedical applications. In particular, our interests are focused on: (i) the design of multifunctional biodegradable nanoparticles for cell imaging and active molecular/cell targeting purposes; (ii) the development of well-defined molecular/polymer prodrug nanoparticles and (iii) controlled polymerization techniques from both fundamental and applied standpoints; particularly concerning their application for the synthesis of biodegradable vinyl polymers and innovative biomaterials.

Join us

Come work with us!

We are always looking for excellent and highly motivated students and postdocs who are interested in joining the group (please see below current openings). As a prospective PhD, you will have graduated with high marks in the organic/polymer chemistry sciences with a strong expertise in practical chemistry. A a prospective Postdoc, you will have a strong trackrecord of publications. If there are no current openings, you may still join us with your own funding or by applying with us for national, european or international research grants.

You are invited to contact Julien Nicolas directly by email (julien.nicolas@u-psud.fr). Please make sure your CV is attached, and for prospective PhD students please indicate what your overall marks upon graduation will be.
